Congratulations to UNICEF Canada!

The CAPHC Board of Directors is honoured to recognize UNICEF Canada as the recipient of the 2015 CAPHC Citizenship Award. It is a privilege for CAPHC to recognize UNICEF Canada for its long-standing commitment to advancing human rights of children through policy, dialogue and advocacy. CAPHC would also like to recognize the global scale of UNICEF Canada’s work in providing a unique context for learning, producing evidence based data, shifting public attitudes about children and increasing the priority afforded to children through policy, resource allocation and many other actions that influence the health and well-being of this very vulnerable population worldwide.

The work of UNICEF Canada has influenced governments and other organizations that develop policy, law and practice and has helped to place children at the centre of decisions and action.

The CAPHC Board of Directors would like to applaud UNICEF Canada’s innovative approaches to advancing the well-being of children by collaborating with a broad and diverse range of Canadian organizations. CAPHC would like to extend its hand to partner with UNICEF Canada in advocating for the rights of all children and youth to live life to their greatest potential.

The 2015 CAPHC Citizenship Award will be presented to Mr. David Morley, President and CEO, UNICEF Canada, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at CAPHC’s Annual Awards Luncheon, which will be held in conjunction with CAPHC’s Annual Conference in Quebec City, at the Quebec City Convention Centre. http://conference.caphc.org/
